Showing Up Differently: The Spark That Comes From Inner Work

In our earlier sessions, he often described feeling like life was just happening to him—an undercurrent of pressure and confusion buzzing in the background. “Even in our first session, I was like, ‘What am I doing?’ It just felt weird,” he told me. “But now… I’m able to engage, I’m able to self-reflect, and take what you’re saying and really process it.”

That shift didn’t happen overnight. It unfolded slowly, week by week, as we peeled back layers of burnout, perfectionism, and old beliefs about self-worth and success. “I didn’t realize how much I needed to just have space to talk and think.”

He came to coaching with big questions about work, ambition, and whether the path he was on was still the one meant for him. But over time, the questions deepened: What do I actually want? What have I been afraid to admit I need?

In one session, I noticed a spark in his voice. “I feel more energized… still have a ways to go, but yeah—definitely showing up differently.”

He began catching himself earlier when old patterns kicked in. He practiced clearer boundaries at work and in his relationships. He challenged assumptions about what productivity and success should look like. He even started reconnecting with his creativity—something he hadn’t felt in years.

“I feel like I’m coming back into focus again… like more of me is starting to show up. I haven’t felt that in a while.”

By the middle of his coaching journey, he wasn’t just clearer—he was more confident, more embodied, more present.

“You’re asking me things that no one else does—but it’s what I need.”

And that’s what I love about this work. It’s not about giving advice. It’s about creating space—the kind of space where someone can hear themselves again.

“I definitely think things are markedly different—in a better direction.”

His journey is just beginning. But now, the momentum is his. And it’s aligned with his true inner core.

That’s where the mining begins. That’s where the precious gemstones of life are found.
